MEGA R&D Vision and Culture

MEGA Industrial Control Systems aims to increase the power of industrial control systems with the latest technologies by placing R&D at the center of its corporate strategy. The company vision is to establish a 'zero error' and 'full quality' understanding in industrial processes. This approach also forms the basis of the customer satisfaction-oriented service philosophy. MEGA Industry has made it one of its most important goals to produce domestic and national solutions that contribute to our country's technological independence while increasing reliability and performance in critical areas such as the energy sector. Thus, the company continues its activities with a determination to lead Türkiye's industrial digital transformation.

As an R&D culture, the company has made innovation and quality indispensable parts of its corporate culture. FlashTech® and Flashware® technologies, which emerged thanks to R&D investments made over the years, are concrete examples of this vision. The FlashTech® terminal automation system developed by the company provides high accuracy and safety in fuel filling operations, while the Flashware® microprocessor-based control device contributes to digital transformation by offering remote monitoring and control with GPRS/GPS communication support. MEGA Industry has succeeded in developing domestic systems as alternatives to foreign-origin products with such unique technological solutions and has created an innovation-oriented corporate culture in the sector.

R&D Competencies and Qualified R&D Projects

MEGA Industry continues its activities as an R&D Center approved by the T.R. Ministry of Industry and Technology and places R&D at the focus of its corporate strategy. The majority of the full-time expert personnel working in the center hold postgraduate degrees, supporting the company's innovative capacity with high-level technical knowledge. Working with an interdisciplinary approach, the R&D team integrates different areas of expertise such as electronics, software, mechanical and process engineering to develop high value-added industrial automation products. In this way, MEGA Industry brings software and hardware together to offer solutions that penetrate every stage of process control.

The technical competencies of the R&D Center cover a wide range of filling, measurement and control technologies in the oil and gas sector. The company specializes in critical automation areas such as fuel loading/unloading systems for road tankers, railway wagons and ships, fuel transfer via pipeline, injection and blending processes, smart meter calibration systems and tank overflow prevention. Innovative solutions in these areas are developed thanks to MEGA Industry's deep R&D accumulation in both software and hardware and are successfully applied in the field.

The company has successfully completed many R&D projects to date and is currently carrying out 6 projects simultaneously. Among these projects, we are carrying out original product studies developed with the company's own resources, as well as completed projects supported by KOSGEB and an R&D project for TUBITAK 1501 Industrial R&D programs. New technological capabilities gained as a result of each project reflect directly as added value to MEGA Industry's product portfolio. Indeed, the solutions developed by the company have reached a scope that can serve 97% of the sector's needs. This wide sphere of influence is an indicator of MEGA Industry's R&D competencies and moves the company to the position of a leading R&D center nationwide in the sector.

Internships programs applied within MEGA Industry and the inclusion of newly graduated engineers in R&D projects give the company's human resources a fresh perspective while supporting the applied side of engineering education in our country. MEGA Industry possesses comprehensive documents regarding compliance with international standards and quality assurance. The main certificates and registrations it holds are as follows:

  • ISO 9001:2015 – Quality Management System certificate (customer-oriented continuous improvement culture)
  • ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management System certificate (commitment to environmental sensitivity and sustainability)
  • CE – CE mark showing the conformity of products with European Union technical legislation (opportunity for free movement in the international market)
  • GOST – Conformity certificates valid in Eurasian markets (conformity of products to Russian and surrounding country standards)
  • Technological Product Experience Certificate (TÜR) – Approval certificate given by the T.R. Ministry of Industry and Technology to innovative products developed as a result of R&D activities

In addition to these, MEGA Industry's original product brands are also protected under intellectual property. The company's main technology brands FlashTech® and Flashware® have been protected with trademark registration certificates at national and international levels. These registrations confirm the original and unique nature of the systems and software developed by the company, solidifying the brand's technological reputation.

MEGA Industry also follows a strategic approach in patent and utility model development. Patenting innovative ideas is encouraged in the R&D center, and reward and incentive mechanisms are created for employees. Although there are no registered patents yet, it is aimed to protect inventions arising from R&D projects with patents or utility models in the future. Thanks to this proactive intellectual property strategy, it is aimed to secure MEGA Industry's intellectual accumulation under legal protection and make its technological competitiveness permanent.

R&D Based Growth

R&D-oriented innovation is the driving force of MEGA Industry's rapid and sustainable growth. Indeed, the annual company turnover, which was ~52.4 million TL in 2021, reached ~372.9 million TL in 2023. This performance means an impressive growth of approximately 7 times in just two years. Thanks to its R&D-based products and services, the company has carried the success it achieved domestically to global markets. Regular exports are made to various countries, primarily Uzbekistan, Iraq, and Greece; leading the use of Turkish-origin advanced technologies in the international arena by working in cooperation with local stakeholders in projects. These export achievements have enabled MEGA Industry to transform into a solution provider that can compete on a global scale.

MEGA Industry is turning to new technological areas to carry this momentum it has achieved into the future. It is no coincidence that Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence applications have a priority place on the R&D agenda. The company plans to expand its product range by initiating R&D projects not only in its current sector but also in new areas at the intersection of energy and industrial technologies. For example, adjacent areas such as renewable energy storage technologies and smart grid management are among the potential study topics evaluated in the long term. With these new generation projects based on IoT and digitalization, MEGA Industry is determined to play a leading role in the innovation ecosystem in the coming years and to provide contributions that will carry our country to the top ranks in the high technology league.

First Place in Qualified Employment and ASO Award

MEGA Industry's R&D investments and the importance it attaches to qualified human resources have been crowned with a prestigious award. Selected as the 'SME Increasing R&D Employee Number the Most' within the scope of Ankara Chamber of Industry's 62nd Anniversary Awards, MEGA Industry was deemed worthy of the award as the enterprise that increased R&D personnel employment the most. This award shows that the leadership shown in the field of qualified employment along with R&D-centered growth in recent years is appreciated by the sector. MEGA Industry sees this success as the joint effort of all its teams and the Ministry of Industry and Technology and will continue its mission to increase innovation-based employment in our country.

Our ASO 62nd Year Award

Ankara Chamber of Industry 62nd Anniversary Award Ceremony brought together enterprises showing success in R&D and innovation fields. MEGA Industry took its place in this prestigious night by receiving the award for the SME increasing the number of R&D employees the most.

Our MEGA Industry General Manager Mr. Derya TOPRAK received the award from Vice President Mr. Cevdet YILMAZ.
